AmaZulu cut ties with Palmgren

AmaZulu have terminated the contract of Roger Palmgren as head coach of the club for the remainder of the 2012/13 season with immediate effect.

Usuthu General Manager has confirmed the changes at the Durban club.

 “We met with the coach this morning (Monday) and advised him that his services have been terminated with immediate effect and informed the players and the technical team of what has happened.

Fani Madida will be caretaker coach until we have announced the new coach which will hopefully be will soon,” said O’Connor.

Under the Swede’s watch AmaZulu recorded two wins with one coming from a cup competition in the Telkom Knockout and a league game respectively. AmaZulu’s first league win came from a fixture played while Palmgren was on leave attending a family bereavement in Sweden.

Overall Usuthu have collected 9 points in 12 matches and face Black Leopards on 5 December 2012 away from home in their next league tie.
