Telkom Knockout: Wits 3-2 Chiefs

Written By Unknown on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 | Tuesday, October 23, 2012

Bidvest Wits defeated Kaizer Chiefs 3-2 to knock them out of the Telkom Knockout to qualify for the quarterfinals of the tournament. However Amakhosi supporters didn’t take this defeat well…

Mbalenhle Maseko – Yes we lost 3-2, but we played like stars! Our downfall was the first 20 minutes. 2 -0 at halftime? One would've expected a beating of a lifetime! Saying the boys were tired is an excuse! Yes Khune may have been because quite frankly he is the only player in that squad! I love my team; don't even put your heads down boys - go tla siama!

Daniel Motloutsi – I'm very proud of being a South African, but what the Premier Soccer League did to chiefs it’s unfair to play that game on a Friday, it shows that they wanted chiefs to lose the game, next time chiefs must not release their players to the national team & also what prompted the league to take that game to that small stadium because Kaizer Chiefs is a big team, imagine if there was stampede on that game, PSL must be careful next time -  we will influence our beloved team not to release our players, the last time Yeye got injured in a national duty and who got hurt at team level, now look at Pirates they only playing at night and as for Sundowns I don't want to comment, mxxxxxm!

Baldwin Pule Maoka – We need a totally overhaul of player and how can Dladla play as a defender nogal right back and without Khune we are screwed - Doc Khumalo was talking about Wits’ defense, but look at ours… pathetic flat footed until 90 minutes. We didn’t defend as a unit and Wits defended like a unit. I think also the players we very tired, well at the end of the day we lost to a better team.

Muelasi Hlongwane – It's that early exit again, looks like last season will repeat itself by not winning any trophy. Are we going to be like Orlando Pirates, 10 years without silver... this is not like Kaizer Chiefs? Please guys let’s try and win the Nedbank Cup cos it's "de" trophy that has left, except the Absa Premiership da main one…

La Passant – I just hope the head Coach and the Management team can realise the problem that is costing our club all the time. From where I'm seating, I blame the national coach. Chiefs just played against big and professional team, and we lost one nil - soon after that the Phefeni Boys fought for the nation against our own neigbours, and we won. Thanks to their experience and determination. There I mean Poland and Kenya. And as supporters and management we expect them to be ready and fit for local teams. Guys don't blame the Players here. Rather our kind management.

Hlammy Hlayiseka – Does the coach seat with the players and tell them their mistakes? I mean Nkatha should have an improved player by now, the guy can’t control the ball, he play with his mind than combine his mind and his legs, Khosi For Life.

Tshepo Stephen Motsepe – To Kaizer Motaung: Chincha Guluva this SAFA officials have underestimated and disrespected your team by scheduling them to clash against The Students while 6 of your players were representing the nation and only had a few hours to prepare for the TKO. Send an aggressive message by not releasing these players when they select them... I mean this people sit in their luxurious offices and make ridiculous decisions and expect you to be lenient with them. The PSL was way out of hands Chincha and I hope they are now celebrating coz their wishes was granted.

Boitumelo Bryan Mokoena – You know if you really love and support your team 100% and they lose, don't give up on them, just say thanks for the beautiful game and tell them to give it their best next time so that when they go to the pitch they would be confident as ever…

Loyiso Qilo – I urge all the Kaizer Chiefs fans to stick with the team thru thick and thin. The blame is Premier Soccer League and not any Chiefs player s, for allowing Chiefs to play on Friday. Chiefs this season are playing transition football so it makes sense to play Nkosi and Yeye. And also Bartman is a good goalkeeper he can’t be bad overnight, Itu is still number one but we must respect the fact that he is still mourning. Lastly our defence is the best in the league having conceded only three goals so I blame the PSL for our loss the player's tried but wits were a better team on the day.

Nyiko Mkhombo – This should be a sign for Madala Bartman to retire, let's get Thela back, all that work Rainer did must not just go down the drain, people might think it’s over for us but it’s not, we can will all four quarters and claim the league title and we still have the Nedbank Cup.

Madoda Lolwana – Almost the rest of the team performed well only one player cost us is Arthur Bartman especially the first goal tjuu hayi I think he must retire now if he can’t do his job what’s the use of him haa look now we are out of Telkom Knockout – its only one cup left and the league. I think Khuzwayo must fill up that space other ways we gonna keep on losing sizoqabuka sekwaphulwe... Rise Khosi Rise!

S hadrack Godisamang – You can't win the league with people like Nkosi's and Masango's, their first touch ranked among worst in this planet. Guys you need change, Kaizer Chiefs need consistency, enough is enough, you've broken our hearts for so long!

Lucian Mabaso – I personally liked the fighting spirit. Even though some of our key players were tired but they still took the game to Wits – and one other thing, the coach must just give the “Soul Provider” Nale game time. But over the above, great game, we can't win them all & I am impressed. Rise Khosi!!!
