Inspired by the African Bongo drum, Mamela Hat which means

The “Mamela Drum Hat” is the brain child of Cornelius Nkabinde
and Obed Mazibuko, a project endorsed by their mentor Mr Peter Nys a Electrical
Engineer from Carltonville. The hats are manufactured and distributed through
their company, NCN Sakhise Trading cc which also based in Carltonville.

“Mamela Drum Hat” was launched in June 2011 in Carling black
Label Cup that took place at the FNB stadium between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando
Pirates. “The response is tremendous from Fans as orders grow every day” said Cornelius Nkhabide.
The Hats are lightweight and custom made to suite all teams
and their supporters, they are branded with the club colors and corporate logos
for identity, the Drum Hats can also be used as a marketing tool for clubs and their technical sponsors as well as
corporate companies. These hats are adjustable to fit any size and shape of any
head.
“Our future goal is to expand our Drum hats globally and to
be involved in major sporting events,” added Mr Nkhabide.
