Bay United FC and Dynamos FC matter decided

The complaint that Dynamos lodged against Bay United (now known as Polokwane City) has finally been decided.

At the arbitration hearing today, 17 October 2012, the arbitrator confirmed a settlement agreement reached between the parties to the effect that the SAFA Appeal Board findings be set aside and the PSL Disciplinary Committee majority decision should stand. 

The effect of this is that Bay United are found guilty of fielding an ineligible player and they have to pay a fine, but no points or goals will be expunged.

Bay United will therefore retain their 2011/12 National First Division log position (10).
