Bafana
Bafana new discovery Dean "Stokvel" Furman is a true definition of
the complete modern anchorman. He is calm, collected, focus, visionary, good transitional
movement, good movement on and off the balls, good direction when in the
possession of balls, tactical discipline coupled with accuracy passes and high
working ability. He never put his foot wrong.
He
is not one of the most skillful players but his soccer brain made him to stood
head and shoulder above the rest. He kept it simple and straight forward. We
need more players with European experience to impart modern soccer acumen to
our boys who easily carried away by unnecessary dribbling. Andile Jali can also
learn many things from Dean Furman.
Jali
is a Premier Soccer League good player, but his unnecessary dribbling and
holding onto the balls too much are making him an average anchorman. He is
tried to be Neymar of Orlando Pirates which resulted in tactical ill-discipline
by over doing things.
I
hope the style of Furman will inspire him to take his game to the next level. Jali
is one of the most gifted anchorman in South Africa who needs more polishing to
be a shining diamond.
I’m
happy for Bafana Bafana coach Gordon Igesund who is soon to be the Special one
of Mzansi diski, but we still have a long way to build a competitive team to
conquer Africa. We are still toothless upfront as we miss easy goals. The
future looks bright for the boys as long as we give them undivided support.
Bafana has been rejuvenated under Igesund.
