Pelembe is not Mzansi's God of football

Enough about Lionel Messi... enough about Thierry Henry... mina la, here in South Africa, I’m starting to get irritated at the behaviour of some agent using a Mozambican mosquito to cheat some team off its mine millions.

This guy representing Elias "Domingues" Pelembe is an opportunist, I’m not sure of his demands, but based on that arrogant comments he feeds the media about his deal with Pelembe and Mamelodi Sundowns, one would be made to believe Pelembe is a God.

Granted, the guy is good, but what has he done for Sundowns? What has the team won since he joined? FOKOL! Therefore, you can be as good as you claim, but if you fail to INDIVIDUALLY influence success onto a team, then your bargaining power is less.

Players like Andre Arendse knew how to influence teams positively, currently Benson Mhlongo helped both Sundowns and Orlando Pirates to championships (no prizes for guessing how he played a big role at Bucs)... so, if Pelembe wants crazy money, he must go and milk it somewhere, I, Sidwell ‘Feesh’ Francis, say, Sundowns needs him, but the team is no worse without him.

Maybe teams should look at grooming their own products who are going to be loyal to the course... eg. Paul Scholes (Manchester United), Steven Gerrard (Liverpool), Ryan Giggs (Manchester United), Carles Puyol (Barcelona), Iker Casillas (Real Madrid), Javier Zanetti (Inter Milan)... I’m struggling to find a South African name... maybe that factor is none existent down here!
