Mamelodi Sundowns
beat Bloemfontein
Celtic... and an ordinary yellow fan will jump up and down celebrating the
three points whereas a PFE (Pure Football Experts) member
would look at the game with two fronts...
Firstly, if
truth be told, it doesn’t look like Sundowns are able to deal with their
weakness, once again, they appeared flat for the better part of the second
half, though slightly better, one might argue that had Celtic taken the
initiative to attack vigorously they’d have walked away with the three points.
Furthermore,
that defence is horrible, it is in fact deteriorating; Wayne Sandilands, Method
Mwanjali, Ramahlwe Mphahlele, Clayton Daniels and Siyanda Xulu are shocking... they’ve
turned into liabilities.
Then, there’s
another view, looking at Sundowns, there seems to be a lot of promise
surrounding that team, it looks as though Johan Neeskens is working on some
sort of magic, and one gets the feeling that, should he get it right, Sundowns
will return to 'their rightful' place... and one would look at the collection
of points as a bonus, if a team is not there yet but still manage 2 maximise
points...
As for Ajax
Cape Town been thrashed by Usuthu, no surprises there... if you know your
football you’ll know why.
