Bucs fans seek revenge against Chiefs

Written By Unknown on Friday, July 31, 2009 | Friday, July 31, 2009

Orlando Pirates coach Ruud Krol put his cards on the table on Wednesday, stating that his priority was winning the MTN 8 quarter-final clash against Ajax Cape Town at Ellis Park next week and that his team would only use the Telkom Charity Cup as preparation for the kick-off of the new Premier Soccer League (PSL) season.

Krol said he wanted to set the record straight in Rustenburg on Saturday when Bucs and Chiefs clash in their second Soweto Derby within 10 days in the second Charity Cup semifinal.

But he added it would not be a train smash should Pirates not get through to the final of the annual Charity tournament that opens the PSL season.

Bucs were beaten by Amakhosi in a sudden death penalty shootout in the Vodacom Challenge semi-finals in Port Elizabeth last Thursday night and Pirates fans are hoping for revenge.

Chiefs went on to win the final by beating ambitious big spending English Premiership giants Manchester City 2-0 in the final at Loftus last Saturday.

Bucs, however, had the satisfaction of beating City in the opening Challenge clash played in Polokwane.

"Obviously we want to beat Chiefs and that is where we are focussed," Krol said on Wednesday.

"We will try and do better than we did last week. We played badly in the first half and did well in the second but lost on penalties.

"We made mistakes against Chiefs last time and we have been working hard trying to rectify them at training.

"But the bigger game is the MTN 8 match (against Ajax). I will be using the Charity Cup to bring back my four Bafana Bafana players (striker Katlego Mashego, midfielders Teko Modise and Benson Mhlongo, and defender Innocent Mdledle) and give them game time.

"They were given a rest after playing in the Confederations Cup last month and now need to get more time on the pitch."

Krol stressed that he would have to nurse his four Bafana stars this season.

"We have a tight PSL programme this season due to the 2010 World Cup finals in June. Not only will there be pressure on all players during what will be an even more competitive PSL season but the international players have a lot of matches as well.

"I will have to manage them carefully but it will not be easy."

The fact that the quartet will feature is good news for Bucs fans who are hoping their side will retain the Charity Cup title.

And Krol said that his two new strikers, Gert Schalkwyk and Dennis Masina, could also get some game time.

Schalkwyk was injured when he joined Pirates from Chiefs in the off-season and has just returned to full fitness, while Masina has recently signed from PSL champions SuperSport United.

Krol said that he had no regrets letting former Bafana midfielder Lebogang 'Cheeseboy' Mokoena leave to join Mamelodi Sundowns who play Platinum Stars in the first semifinal on Saturday.

"I released him because I have better players in my squad," Krol said, adding that veteran Zimbabwean international striker Gilbert Mushangazhike had also left and had joined newly promoted Mpumalanga Black Aces. - Sapa

True, happy straight people must be happy straight people. Now that you are out of the closet please do not show us your legs. This is a sundowns fan tring to make pirates look ugly. No doubt one of chiefs fans gave this mogoe R250.00
to pose for such a picture. I do not think the man at the top of Pirates will aprove of his colors being insulted. The beast is too small for Bucaneer. I bet his wearing a G-string bluemus, sis man. This is not jail.

I am camping and flying around the stadium. I have my three year old son pea sprinled in the field. I have my Sardines oil rubbed on th goal post. I will be going to the locker rooms and some entrance points ffavored by a particular team. My monkeys ar chasing the wild hog in the stands. Oh what a night, I simply ride on my broom and do my business. I have managed to put a tale in one of those poles. The middle night preparation are going according to plan.

The game will end three to zero.

This chich has some mustash too. She is unique, she must be scratching her husband when they kiss. Good thing is she shows no signs of ceasrean operation and that good for her. Maybe a liitle Ambi might save the day. Guess what! she put all her penties, tooth brush and pantihose in her hat just incase she do not come back home. She was my class mate in Dom-A but I left her for in that class. Thirty years later she was still in that class and the department of education apointed her Dom-A school inspector for staying in the class longer than anybody else in the world. They even put a telephone on her desk and thi is how she answers the phone. "Hello, hello! this is Dom-A thirty years experience no move no promotion same desk, can I not help youth?"

This is my grand mother at a traditional gathering. I take offence for all bad things people say about her. She may have faded a little but she still remain a dark dinidi. Back in the day she busted too many boys. Once in a while she still manage to bringa young chaps in her seally pasturepedic. But seriously guys do not make it a habit of speaking ill of her. She raised us all by herself, even if she drinks methelated spirit she still cared about us. For some reason she wears a G string when she goes visiting but wear guys undewear BVD when she is at home. We love he anyway, whether she shaves or not she is a beauty. she is after a guy called raymond hack and none of us knows who is that dude. She affectionately call him "rayray". Hope all things work well for her and rayray.

This is my grandmother hands off!!!
