So ke I’m reading my newspaper and surprise… surprise… our Coach Mr. Joel Santana (I will call him Mr. today as I’m happy) says he is thinking of bringing Benni McCarthy to play in the Confederations Cup for Bafana Bafana after his sagas. He he he!
Now I almost hit another guy’s car after this. What is happening to the likes of: Sandile Ndlovu, Richard Henyekane, Mabhudi Khenyeza, Surprise Moriri, and Bernard Parker? So they are second BEST to Benni who always has to be asked so many times to play for our National Team. Ain’t these guys all equal? What is wrong with our coach and the technical team?
Is Santana afraid or maybe doesn’t trust these players? This is called killing everyone’s spirit especially these boys. Now ask yourself why Sthembiso Ngcobo said NO to his Bafana Bafana call-up. People started labeling him as a “traitor” and “selfish” - “He washed away his opportunity to play in the Confederations Cup and World Cup for Mzansi”.
I see that Ngcobo was also probably angry after he was called up after another player pulled out like Benni usually does. How do you expect a player to give 100% as he even knows he was not in the coach’s plan… probably won’t even play as well. It’s just to cover that space.
I would also say I’m injured or come up with some story so that I don’t have to play for 2 minutes on the field. Remember what Samuel Eto'o did when the former Barcelona coach, Frank Rijkaard, tried to put him on to play for 1 minute? He said NO! What is the point really mara?

It’s obvious that he will be playing in the Confederations Cup and World Cup. What’s the use of scoring 3 hat-tricks and still not play for the national team?
