The concept of development is not just limited to academies, but going out there and scouting for talent and moulding it. That is how players are discovered. That is how Teenage Dladla and Lesley Manyathela came forth. Sundowns will never discover a star, they will recycle discovered stars. That shortcut unfortunately is detrimental to our football. The Sundowns of old used to discover stars, the likes of Mambush, Ewie and Bennet Masinga, and merge that with quality signings like Chirwali, Phil Masinga and Zane Moosa.
