Soccer
fans factionalism is tarnishing the image of the National Team (Bafana Bafana).
The proven fact is that the rival war of words and bragging rights between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates fans have been escalated to Bafana Bafana level.
The proven fact is that the rival war of words and bragging rights between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates fans have been escalated to Bafana Bafana level.
If
Bafana wins, it’s either Kaizer Chiefs or Orlando Pirates player(s) who
contributed to the victory, if Bafana lost; it's either Kaizer Chiefs or
Orlando Pirates player(s) who contributed to the downfall.
Even
today, many fans are still shifting the blame towards Bernard Parker
unintentionally own goal as the main reason behind Bafana failure to Brazil
2014 World Cup, which is unfair as the football is a collective sport. They win
as team and lose as team. It is collective win or lose not individual win or
lose which is a reason it is called the National team not an individual team.
This
ungrateful fans behavior is slowly but surely ravaging the national team image.
Fans support their favourite players from their respective teams not Bafana
Bafana.
How can we solve this
Bafana divided support?
