The Telkom Knockout first round clash between
Mpumalanga Black Aces and Orlando Pirates has been postponed to October 8.
The match was scheduled to be played this coming
Wednesday, but Pirates asked for a postponement in order to allow them more
time to prepare for their CAF Champions League semi-final, first leg, against
Tunisian giants Esperance on October 5.
All stakeholders agreed to the postponement in the
interests of giving Pirates the best opportunity possible to fly the South
Africa flag and the match will now be held at the Mbombela Stadium on Tuesday,
October 8 with a 19h30 kick-off.
It means the Telkom Knockout competition will get
under way this year when BidVest Wits host Lamontville Golden Arrows at the
BidVest Stadium on Friday, October 4 (kick-off 20h00).
