Iconic Ponte della
Musica Armando Trovajoli in Rome plays as backdrop to Nike Hypervenom Roma
Knockout.
With
the stunning Ponte della Musica Armando Trovajoli in the background, Nike
athlete Mattia Destro joined young footballers at the Nike Hypervenom Roma
Knockout. A 3 versus 3 football
tournament, the Nike Hypervenom Roma Knockout saw more than 400 young
footballers from Roma Nord, Roma Centro and Roma Sud bid for the title of the
most deadly striker in the capital.
Mattia
Destro, striker for AS Roma, is part of the new generation of forwards that the
Nike Hypervenom was developed for.
The
Hypervenom boot features a NIKESKIN upper that fits to the foot to aid touch
and control. In a game that is always
changing, the Nike Football design team created the boot with feedback from top
players including Neymar, Wayne Rooney and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who specifically
need a boot that can help them create space quickly in and around the penalty
area, and get their shot off from any angle.
"Pace
and the ability to beat defenders is a key part of my game," said Destro.
"Wearing a boot that fits my game 100% is essential. The Hypervenom Boots
have a really nice fit, like a second skin. I can’t wait to score in
them."
During
the development of the Hypervenom, players discussed the increased agility of
opponents, referencing today’s best defenders who are now as quick, agile and
skilful as many of the world’s best forwards.
