Orlando Pirates coach Roger de Sa reckons a "simple
error" resulted in us loosing the game on Saturday against our arch-rivals
Kaizer Chiefs. For once I fully agree with him as much as I don't like him. He
went on to say we didn't create as many chances as we should have… again I
agree with him.
We can blame the referee for not judging that
offside goal by Lehlohonolo Majoro, but the fact remains Pirates were pathetic
to say the least on Saturday. They were scared to make mistakes and committed
silly errors in the process. Check the game stats and pay attention to shots at
goals on target and look at how many saves Senzo Meyiwa made compared to Itumelneg
Khune… ball possession doesn't win games if you don't penetrate the opposition and
force saves from their keeper.
It remains to be seen if the mistakes the
coach pointed out will be rectified as we are about to kick off the 2013/14
Season. Time Will Tell.
