Supporting Orlando Pirates has become more than interesting
of late as developments are too good to be ignored.
Whenever players who are fan favourites like Katlego Mashego and
Teko Modise are leaving the team, the supporters of Pirates are slamming the
management for such a move although those supporters don’t really know what
happened behind the scene.
Later the players come back to slam the team's Managerial
skills and the supporters changes the tune and sides with management in hating
the departed players which is what I call unity between the management &
supporter although they tend to differ in views at times.
Players like Bheki Ndzunga, Thabo Matlaba, Rooi Mahamutsa, Ndumiso
Mabena were brought in as the unknowns ahead of our preferred Elias Pelembes, Mabhuti
Khenyezas, and now the latters are unsung heroes having contributed to our
trebles yet we are bitter for the likes of released Sameehg Doutie and Chiukepo
Msowoya who did nothing when brought in and that’s is to tell reputation is
nothing but hard work is.
Fan favourites like Mark Mayambela and Bongani Ndulula
refused to be offloaded to Chippa United and Golden Arrows respectively and it
is funny how players get such powers to force to stay yet Pirates will be
labelled career destroyers. As for me, I am watching with keen interest.
I have learned to support which ever player for football has
grown immensely with everybody replaceable thus the so called favourite players
can be nothing but a disappointment so I am not excited with whoever is signed
neither am I hopeless as their performance will be what determines them to me
as I will only judge them from their play.
Meanwhile playing for Kaizer Chiefs is more like public toilets
as those inside are desperate to get out " Nkosinathi Nhleko: Is
like I am in hell" while those outside can’t wait to get in " Molomowandau
Mathoho: I love Chiefs, I am ready."
