Why have we lowered our bar?

South Africans seem to have a low expectation of their achievement... I’m no women's football fan, no do I subscribe to discussing that baloney.

However, a sickening trend seemed to cloud the South African football society.

I quietly listened to comments praising Mr. Joseph Mkhonza, way before the end of the COSAFA CUP... people were calling for his permanent appointment, but again those ladies (Banyana Banyana) failed!

They didn’t win a lousy COSAFA CUP with no African giants, let alone world super powers... but no, people kept praising the guy... and choruses of “the girls did well, we are proud of them” were echoed throughout the republic... proud of what? Failures?

Sies South Africans, you are a disgrace... this issue, is concentrated on our mentalities... there’s unproven belief that we are not as good as we think we are... that is rubbish...we once were number 1 in Africa, and occupied top 20 status in the world... we are therefore, that good... but because we’ve lowered the bar, we expect the least of us...
