Why? Why? Why?

Why must the NFD be lucrative?
I constantly hear people compare the PSL grants to the NFD, the NFD clubs get R350 000 per month compared to the PSL’s million rand club, but I don’t understand what the fuss is about. The Premier League teams are exactly that Premier teams, if the NFD becomes lucrative and I promise you that ABSA put their money on the premier brand not the NFD, what will motivate these teams to work hard to reach the PSL? The same applies with PSL teams, we used to refer to the NFD as “ehlathini” (in the forest), that must remain. The main problem here is that finished, overpaid players are campaigning in this league instead of young upcoming talent as a result club owners are scrambling to find money to pay these oldies. I say No, Hlalani ehlathini.

Why does the SABC bother?
Really now, this is stupid, I hear the Pirates game was televised after 1 am, except for security guards, who is up at 1? Crazy if you ask me, the Kaizer Chiefs game was televised at about 11h30, by then Supersport United had already televised it twice. Why do they even bother? Well all the top managers have SABC; in fact I think they watch DSTV in their own studios.

Why should the Moses Mabhida stadium be home to the Sharks?
Mr. Something Sutcliffe who happens to be manager of the Ethekwini Municipality recently hinted that the Moses Mabhida stadium will be used for rugby, in fact they are hoping to use the stadium as a Sharks home ground, is this where the racist rugby fans will be humiliating blacks, in their own stadium, I object, isn’t a team like Golden Arrows ambitious enough to want this stadium as a home ground? This is a soccer stadium for goodness sake, if rugby wants to use it, let them hire it, many of you are aware of the issues that confront Black Aces in Witbank regarding the rugby people who refuse to allow them to use the stadium, sometimes we forget that this country is in Africa.

Why are there no young supporters at Swallows?
Something needs to be done, the Moroka Swallows fan is becoming extinct, really, watching the Pirates /Swallows, I could not help but marvel at the “maroon and white”, the people were wearing mostly maroon and all of them had white hair. Swallows brand people must really work hard here, it is really difficult to convince anyone older than 10 to change allegiances, so this means Swallows brand people must start much earlier then, it may take 20 years before we see a 25 year old supporting Swallows.

Why is the 2010 promo material so expensive?
The key here is to promote the World Cup, therefore you want as many people to be wearing this stuff, and so if a World Cup pin is expensive, Danny Jordaan will wear it alone by the way where are the Zakumi dolls? I think the Chinese will make them first and sell them for R20 because you are slow thinkers.
