I’ve realised that no list I could ever pile up would be finished of great players. Not even if I decided to include another 20 or even 50 more soccer players. There are simply so many great legends eMzansi to have played the beautiful game over the years; in different positions, and in different eras. It is simply impossible for any list to be the ultimate list of all time. This list of 25 players is one that myself, and my educated friends put together. We are building a legend’s list – please put the name of a legend you think deserves to be in our Diskioff Legends list.
Remember these Legends baf’wethu:
• Patrick "Ace" Ntsoelengoe
• Ephraim "Shakes" Mashaba

ReplyDeleteMy name is Paul Mongwe. All the legends mentioned in diverse lists played football for the love of the game. At the time the beautiful game had no money but the legends left their hearts in the fields of play. The stadiums used to be packed to capacity. Entertainment was galore. South African women of the time knew and understood football equally to men. But now things have changed drastically as many people have lost their passion for the beautiful game. I miss those times big time.
ReplyDeleteI am not seeing Mcdonald 'Rhee the terrorist of SA goalkeepers Skosana on the list of legends 😢 😑
