Africa my Home

This is an African Moment. Thank God I am an African. The fact that I am South African is simply a Cherry on top. Firstly, I would like to congratulate Barack Obama, for becoming the first African-American president. Lewis Hemilton for being the first black F1 Champion. We salute you guys, and you bring a glimmer of Hope to all Black people, in Africa and the Diaspora, and you sending a strong message that we will, as Africans, host the most successful World Cup.

South Africa will host the first football World Cup to be played on the African soil. African teams must be prepared to come to South Africa to win the 2010 World Cup. Yes we can, and we should. Our Stars are shinning throughout the world, and I tell you, not only football Stars.

Let me say with regards to us hosting the 2010 World Cup, as a South African, in the words of the American President in Elect this morning:

"This is our chance to answer that call. This is our moment. This is our time – to put our people back to work and open doors of opportunity for our kids; to restore prosperity and promote the cause of peace; to reclaim the American (African in our case) Dream and reaffirm that fundamental truth – that out of many, we are one; that while we breathe, we hope, and where we are met with cynicism, and doubt, and those who tell us that we can't, we will respond with that timeless creed that sums up the spirit of a people."

Thank God I'm African!!!
