Bafana finally score GOALS

Finally GOD has come back from a holiday. Bafana Bafana scored three goals last night against Malawi. Good for the preparations as we always prepare, credit to Bernard Parker and Dane Klate for their goals and the transformation of club form to the national team. At least Joel Santana has something to smile about: a win against number 110 in FIFA rankings. The practice session as I call it was not even on SABC at 7pm (delayed for 10pm yet again). But I guess there’s not much that we missed, except for the goals. Hopefully this is the beginning of the new things for Santana and his troops; we are tired of being the laughing stock of Africa. On a positive note the local based players did not disappoint, they did well by winning the practice match.

Mbulelo “OJ” Mabizela is on it again, and Steven Pienaar on it once more. I thought Mabizela had learned that Hennessey belong to the bar men and weed belong to the Rastas, if this is true that he went AWOL, then only God knows. Mamelodi Sundowns’ Ted Dumitru said on Monday morning (on a radio show) that Mabizela had picked up an injury. Our media break our players at times. But lets leave it to them.

It appears that Pienaar slapped a woman in Liverpool, this is not on, for such a role models to many young South African stars. It is reported that this is not the first time Pienaar has done this. He was arrested in February 2005 in Amsterdam for allegedly attacking his Dutch ex-girlfriend Samira Zwanerburg (this guy is not romantic at all - hehe).

To Mabizela please get your act together brother or you’ll find yourself operating a spaza-shop very soon. Pienaar if you want to be a boxer; Eastern Cape is the place for boxing, leave the ladies alone and if you’re not careful some ladies will use this publicity for their advantage.

I read an article on some paper saying Jabu Mahlangu is playing well in his unknown lower division team, that’s good for him. The same guys from this paper wrote “with his star on a rise again, one wonders if Santana is curious to have a look at the player” (source: that paper). What is this with our media? One good game they all think you have to play for Bafana. Mahlangu had his chance and blew it. It’s good for the player to perform; hopefully he will get to bigger teams.
